Bill Simone, president of Custom Design & Construction in Los Angeles, Calif., has been named to the Board of Directors for the Los Angeles County East Chapter of the Building Industry Association of Southern California (BIA/SC). In addition, Simone will be serving as the chair of the local National Association of Home Builders’ Remodelors Council.
Simone strongly supports the BIA/SC mission to promote a positive business environment for the building and housing industry and enhance opportunities for members. He looks forward to working with members to build better homes and communities in Southern California.
Simone said the Association offers valuable member benefits that allow industry professionals to reach their goals.
"One of my goals is to gain more visibility for the local Association and increase its presence in the Los Angeles area," Simone said. "I will also be working to build our certification program. I want to help members become Certified Graduate Remodelers (CGR) through the Remodelors Council’s certification program."
Simone has been a member of the BIA/SC and the Remodelors Council since 2000, and he was named to the Board in January, 2001. He will serve a two-year term on the Board, which meets approximately seven times a year. Pamela Hemann, CAE, executive director for the Los Angeles County East Chapter, said Simone is a great addition to the leadership team.
