What type of remodels do you do, and do you have a specialty?

We don’t have a singular specialty as we do everything from remodeling a single bathroom to reconstructing an entire home. Our designers have experience designing kitchens, master suites, outdoor living spaces, second-story additions, and even swimming pools.

How much is it going to cost?

In short, every project is truly different.  Our goal is to research your remodel as thoroughly as possible.  Only then, with the exact information at our disposal, can we provide exact pricing for your project.  By avoiding inaccurate, free ballpark estimates, we are able to provide the most accurate pricing for you and thus avoid potential cost overruns later on.

What’s the difference between hiring an architect for my remodel and a design/build firm?

We have the same design capabilities as an architect, we simply combine these resources under the same roof with a builder and a financier. By handling every component of your project, we manage to streamline costs, reduce lag times, and minimize miscommunication between the different parties.

Where do you do work?

We are based in West Los Angeles, but we do projects throughout Los Angeles County.

In what style do you specialize?

We don’t specialize. Our goal is to make each project succeed in the manner that best suits that particular home and, most importantly, the taste of the homeowner.

Do you perform interior design services?

Yes, we do. We do have an in-house interior designer that assists is choosing all materials and accents for your project.

Do you do landscape design?

Yes – everything from patios and decks to pools and spas.

How much is your design fee?

We don’t do architectural drawings for free. The exact fee will be based on the size and scope of your particular project.

Do you carry worker’s comp? And are all your workers licensed and bonded?

We do indeed carry worker’s compensation, and every trade contractor who works for Custom Design and Construction is both licensed and bonded.
